Well - you know what they say y’all: All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade! Okay okay - maybe they… don’t really say that much these days. BUT, we know who does : Of Monsters and Men, their new album, and now - their worldwide tour going all over the U.S. this Autumn! Of Monsters and Men are our Chamber Pop icelandic lovers who have made it worldwide with their sounds since way back in 2010. And now - they're back on tour! Hitting stops like The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Salt Shed Chicago, Brooklyn’s Paramount and Boston’s Roadrunner, Toronto and of course Los Angeles - and duh! Right here in Salt Lake on November 22nd for the best night ever for all of us to enjoy and adore!
Of Monsters and Men’s music feels like stepping into a dream you’ve had a thousand times but can never quite describe — cinematic, wild at heart, and full of nostalgic music filled montages. Hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland, the band first broke through in 2011 with their worldwide hit “Little Talks,” a folk-pop fueled anthem that carried their lovely melodies and poetic storytelling to every corner of the world. Formed by Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar Þórhallsson, the group quickly became known for blending indie rock, chamber pop, and Nordic folklore into something that felt both intimate and massive — a soundtrack to every kind of adventure, and something new to all of our ears back in the 2010s, it felt totally fresh and new. Their debut album My Head Is an Animal introduced the world to that unmistakable Icelandic magic, while follow-ups Beneath the Skin and Fever Dream expanded their sound into darker, more electric territory. And now, over a decade later, the band continues to evolve and bring us something new — back with All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade, a record that feels like both a reflection and a rebirth. They’ve shared stages with legends, soundtracked films, and gathered millions of monthly listeners — but at their core, Of Monsters and Men still feel like storytellers chasing light through the mist. And we can’t wait to see that unfold on stage right here at the Rockwell this November.
SO - ready to transcend folks?! We’ll see you soon : right here at the Rockwell on the 22nd of the month, ready for memories and a bit of Reykjavik right here in Utah. See ya soon.
